Artist Biography
Haya Cohen is an arts practitioner expressing and experimenting with versatile mediums and currently focusing on fibre and textile art. Born and lived in Israel until 1997 then immigrated to Australia, Haya is interested in the ways cultural social and environmental notions are intertwined. At present she is in the process of completing her PhD in contemporary arts where her main focus is on issues of embodiment and the relationships between body/self/environment. Haya has exhibited around Australia in solo and group exhibitions as well as taught and presented papers in conferences relating to art health and performance.
